The integrated treatment technology can be divided into biological contact oxidation, SBR, AO,A2O, etc. The principle of the commonly used A/O treatment technology is that microorganisms reduce nitrate nitrogen and nitrite nitrogen in sewage into gaseous nitrogen to escape in the anoxic tank, and decompose refractory large molecules of organic matter into small molecules of easily degradable substances, which have the functions of denitrification, hydrolysis and degradation of some organic matters. In the aerobic pool, most of the organic matter was treated by microorganisms and entered the secondary sedimentation tank for mud and water separation.
AO process is an energy-saving biological treatment technology which degrades organic matter at the same time of denitration and greatly reduces oxygen demand. In order to maintain a high nitration rate, the reaction residence time is longer than the ordinary activated sludge process, the sludge sedimentation performance is better, the sludge growth rate is low, the remaining sludge quantity is less, the sedimentation performance is good.
